ESAFLOR® PFT - Sustainable conditioner for transparent formulations

ESAFLOR® PFT is a cationic hydroxypropyl guar derivative with a conditioning effect developed by Lamberti Group and distributed by LEHVOSS Italia, which allows the creation of transparent formulations widely appreciated and sought after by ‘green’ cosmetics.

ESAFLOR® PFT is obtained through the sustainable ESAFLOR® ZERO-X technology, a unique, patented and highly sustainable process that allows to obtain cosmetic grade guar derivatives with a significant water saving. In addition, ESAFLOR® ZERO-X technology reduces CO2 emissions, energy consumption and the amount of waste materials.

ESAFLOR® PFT is ideal for the formulation of clear shampoos and 2-in-1 formulations, improving combability and hair texture.  
Incorporated into cleansing and skin care products, ESAFLOR® PFT interacts with the skin's keratin and its mild conditioning effect leaves the skin soft and silky, and giving you a great skin feel.
Resistant to electrolytes, ESAFLOR® PFT develops viscosity at pH < 5.5-6.0 and does not affect the appearance and rheology of the surfactant system in which it is included. Quite the opposite – its addition in detergent formulations helps mitigate the negative effects of aggressive soaps and surfactants.

WATER SAVINGS AND SUSTAINABILITY THROUGH PATENTED ESAFLOR® ZERO-X TECHNOLOGY
Like air, water is a precious commodity for maintaining life on earth. However, it is a finite resource, and the ability of companies to reduce its consumption will be critical to ensuring its future availability.
Involved at the forefront of environmental sustainability efforts, Lamberti has patented a technology to reduce water consumption: ESAFLOR® ZERO-X technology.
It all starts with the guar plant, a drought-resistant legume whose cultivation requires little water and is of considerable importance to the Indian economy. Part of the seeds of this plant are transformed into guar gum without the use of chemicals and through a process that reduces water consumption from the earliest stages of production. The guar gum is then replaced twice using ESAFLOR® ZERO-X technology to obtain ESAFLOR® PFT.
This sustainable process saves between 7 and 14 kg of water per kilo of finished product and avoids the treatment of wastewater. At the same time, it reduces the consumption of energy, raw materials and CO2 emissions.
