L-Ergothioneine, a natural amino acid was already known in ancient times in the Orient for its powerful antioxidant and anti-aging action.
Starting from Hericium Erinaceus and Tricholoma Matsutake, through a multi-fermentation process, Bloomage Biotech obtains a complex rich in nutrients including L-Ergothioneine: BioyouthTM EGT. Tests show that BioyouthTM EGT protects the skin from damage caused by UVA and UVB rays. The free radicals induced by these rays are in fact partially neutralized by the action of Ergothionein. A lotion containing 2% of BioyouthTM EGT showed an interesting reduction in skin spots, the number of wrinkles in the eye area and an increase in skin elasticity.
